A beautiful start to my New Year, Old You breathwork courses
What a beautiful start to my New Year, Old You course this week. I’m running two editions of this 8-week breathwork course, which I’ve been so excited to get started with for months. Creating this offering for people was something I put a lot of thought and heart into.
The beautiful Didsbury Parsonage venue, for my breathwork courses
Of course, it can feel nerve-wracking when we put things out into the world, surrendering control of how they’ll be received. So I left it up to the good people of Manchester to decide whether it felt like something they could benefit from…and I was pleasantly surprised that two full rooms of people felt drawn to choose this for themselves.
It’s not about me; I’m just so pleased and impressed that people are starting to make these changes for their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, knowing the power of developing a deeper relationship with themselves.
I really appreciate everyone who’s committed to come and join this space, bringing such compassion for themselves and each other. It’s really inspiring seeing people make moves and vote with their feet to prioritise themselves. Making that commitment to love themselves more and see what’s on the other side of trying something new (literally, one group was made up entirely of people brand new to breathwork - props to them for listening to their intuition and going for it).
I’ve already been so moved hearing group members talk about why they made this decision to be in this space and show up for themselves. Why it’s important to them to start connecting with their bodies, recognising the importance of slowing down to live better in 2025.
If more of us chose to resist the lure of this fast-paced world and quieten the external noise, be in stillness with ourselves, treat ourselves more kindly and trust our own inner wisdom, the world would be a different place. And seeing people start to connect with each other, in this gentle, authentic way, is just one of my favourite things.
So getting to know these two lovely groups in this container for two months, is already shaping up to be a memorable, uplifting experience from the start. I’m so happy to be on this journey with them and learn from them along the way.
I will share more from my breathwork courses as we progress.
